The following interview with former Governor Arthur “Art” Link took place at his home in Bismarck, N.D. on August 7, 1991. The interview was conducted by Paul V. Boswell, a research writer working for the North Dakota State University College of Agriculture. The interview concerns Link’s farming background, his terms as governor, and especially his views on and his policy of land reclamation.
When the cassette with the Art Link interview was donated, no transcript was available, but there was an article that came with it summarizing the interview. Therefore, the Institute staff developed the following transcript of the interview.
