| Biography/History | As part of Homecoming activities, the Pep Rally and Bonfire were the highlights of the Friday evening prior to the Homecoming game on Saturday. "Freshmen, according to Rae Kneeshaw, pep leader and president of the senior class, and Bill Ray, president of the Student Commission, are in duty bound to apprehend all materials for the bonfire on Homecoming eve. All such material will be left at the main gate. No frosh will be allowed to set foot on campus until he has contributed his daily stipend to the great rally fire." "Immediately following the rally the students will witness a big bonfire. The Freshmen have been unusually diligent this year and have secured enough fire wood to make the burning of Chicago look like a bonfire. Yells in abundance will be carried on while the fire is on."
