| Biography/History | William C. Palmer originally worked for the North Dakota Cooperative Extension Service when he came to the College in 1910. He organized boys and girls club work and launched the college press service, was in charge of the college's agricultural film and slide service, and served as the Chairman of the college Information Department until his retirement in 1945. This was one of a series of photographs taken due to the following: "Monster Demonstration held by student for Pres. Ladd." In the words of President Emeritus John H. Worst, students and faculty of the North Dakota Agricultural College ‘made history' on Monday, Nov. 8 at the convocation hour when they staged a big demonstration in honor of President E.F. Ladd's election to the United State Senate. Practically the entire student body and faculty was present and took part in the big parade which preceded the enthusiastic demonstration in the armory…." |
