| Biography/History | Visitors to downtown Fargo today, have opportunity to get a close up view of some of the damage done at Pearl Harbor in the attack by the Japanese on Dec. 7. This car, which is on display in front of the various bond sales booths, was the property of Miss Selma Thompson of Des Moines, Iowa. Jap planes, flying low, sent many machinegun bullets into the car. The Retail Section of the Fargo Chamber of Commerce is in charge of the display here, a feature of the Retailers for Victory war bond sale--Text with similar image in Fargo Forum, July 21, 1942, page 10. |
