| Biography/History | Thomas E. Cooper was born in 1824 in England. In 1878 he came to the Grafton area with his family and S.S. Worthing. Thomas Cooper and his wife Amanda Locke Cooper had four children: Edgar, Erastus, Clara, and Alice. Thomas named the post office in the area Grafton after Grafton County, New Hampshire. Thomas Cooper died in 1915 and Amanda Cooper died in 1910. |
