| Transcription | "My dear Sir, - There came into the possession of the Dickinson State Normal School by purchase several hundred pairs of buffalo horns. These horns were picked up at the time the buffalos were so ruthlessly slaughtered in this part of the country. They are in a good state of preservation, just as they came from the animal when they were killed. They vary in size from very large ones to very small ones. They are very scarce at the present time even in this part of the United States. We surmise that some of the Normal Schools might want a few of these horns for their museums. We could send one large pair to any address postage prepaid for $2.50; or two selected pairs, for $4.00; or three pairs, consisting of one small pair, one middle sized pair, and one large pair for $5.00. If your institution is interested in getting some of these horns, send us the amount of money named above, and we will forward the horns to you by Parcel Post, charges prepaid. If not interested pay no attention to this communication. Respectfully submitted."--Handwritten on letter. |
