This group, under the direction of Mr. Harold Kepler made many performances throughout the year, such as Band Days at both Minot and Williston, Mandan Rodeo, Garrison's 50th Anniversary, Baron Ball Park, State Legion Convention, Memorial Day Parade, Elks Variety Show at Bismarck and Washburn, Grain Dealers Convention, home and road basketball games, and Western Class A Basketball Tournament. A soloist dancer, Mrs. Harry Mills, was featured along with a folk dance in which all members participated" --Printed on front of page. |

| Biography/History | The bagpipe band of Bismarck Junior College traveled around and performed at many events. The bagpipe band was very unique in North Dakota. Bismarck State College had a bagpipe band on and off up to the 1990's. The band instructor at the time that the photos were taken really promoted the bagpipe band. In addition, his wife made all the uniforms seen in these photos. |
