Chet tells of years as janitor of school built in 1917. Basement and 2 upper stories. Had to practice in boiler room as not to disturb classes. Dorothy lived near Chet's family. She cooked at Roosevelt elementary school. He resigned as janitor as he didn't get any raise in pay and did all work alone."—Handwritten on tape. |
