"Poultry of all kinds do well in North Dakota. At prevailing prices turkeys show a handsome profit. From 30 or 40 to several hundred turkeys are a common sight on almost every farm in Stutsman County. One woman bought a ½ section with turkey money in 4 years. Another lifting a $3500. Mortgage left upon the farm at the time her husband died"--Printed on paper next to photograph in album. |
