| Biography/History | "The officials of the school district realized that they needed more room for their future expansion program. They purchased the entire Block #16 for their new brick school house. They started building in 1919 (this was the first brick building in Beulah), and finished in 1920. At the time it was considered quite elaborate, for it had four classrooms, a small library and an assembly room (that could be partitioned into two classrooms). Now Beulah School could offer a four year high school curriculum. In 1923 the Beulah High School graduated it's first class; Helen Moore (Tuskind) and Lee Perkins. By 1925 this building was filled to overflowing, and they had to use the old frame buildings again." |
