The
history
of the
Moscow
Kremlin
(fortress/citadel)
dates
back
to the
10th
century
and the
reign
of
Prince
Yuri
of
Kiev
(Yuri
Dolgorky)
who
is
considered
to be the
founder
of
Moscow.
Although
in the
18th
century
,
Peter
I
transferred
the
capital
of
Russia
to
St.
Petersburg
,
tradition
called
for the
coronation
of
Tsars
to be in
Moscow.
In
1917
the
seat
of
government
was
transferred
back
to
Moscow.
The
Moscow
Kremlin
consist
of the
Kremlin
wall
and
towers
and with the
Kremlin
are
four
palaces
and
four
cathedrals.
The
Kremlin
overlooks
the
Moskva
River
to the
south.
