|Transcription||"'I understand.' said M.T. Dome the other day, 'that the farmers have been having some trouble in certain sections of the state owing to climatic conditions that have attended the annual ingathering of the crops, or the harvest season, so called. I am informed, credibly, I believe, that the rainy weather causes moisture on the grain and that this causes delay and perhaps even loss to the agriculturalist. Now to obviate this I have devised certain inventions and offer them to the farmers without charge.' I wish to protect my reputation as a practical scientist and inventor.' From description by Mr. Dome the artist has sketched the Dome inventions. First is a lens set for condensing the moonshine upon the shocks. This form of moonshine rye production is permitted by the federal government. M.D. Dome's electric fan system and the laundry plan for drying shocks can easily be understood at a glance. Below is the invention in which Mr. Dome takes greatest pride. It is Dome's patent dryer, consisting of an asbestos and steel box, through which an endless belt operates. A fire of hay or straw is built underneath and the shocks pass through from the wagon to the feed chute of the separator. This is an exceedingly simple, useful and profitable invention says Mr. Dome" - Text accompanying published image in Nonpartisan Leader.|
