| Transcription | "The Nonpartisan League is dead, or at least it's dying, ' said the politicians and the gang newspapers a week or two ago. 'Let's get together and dig its grave.' So they delved in the muck and slime to make a burying place for the farmers' organization. They proclaimed all over the state the end of the foolish ambition of the farmers to claim political liberty. They hooted the idea that the organization the farmers had built could show any more life. But here's the joke, on March 31 at Fargo they got the shock of their lives and the next day was the saddest All Fool's day they ever saw and the gladdest for the farmer. The kept press of state, faithful to the interests of the gang, talked about 'two or three hundred' at the farmers' meeting. The Leader doesn't have to answer that. It presents to those members of the League who were not at Fargo the actual photographs of a few of the crowds. Let anyone who likes to estimate numbers count those in the Auditorium flashlight, for instance, and then remember that never were all who attended the mass meetings together at one time and one place. But, anyway, the League is the liveliest corpse you ever saw. If you were at the convention you know it already.
