| Biography/History | The Fargo Grain Terminal Elevator collapsed around midnight, June 12, 1955. The elevator was opened in August 1954, and was designed to hold 800, 000 bushels of grain. At the time of the collapse it was filled to 600, 000 bushels. The collapse was due to subsurface soil failure. |
