| Biography/History | The house at 1408 South River Road was built in 1941, for John F. McGuire, a manager at Northern States Power Co. From about 1948 to 1952 it was owned by Clarence C. Koltes, Secretary Treasurer for Lincoln Mutual. From about 1953 to 1964 it was home to John M. Kurke, architect with Kurke and Associates. From 1965 to 1975 it was home to Fred R. Green, president of R&G Bootery, and from 1975 to 2001 it was owned by James R. and Carol Carpenter. |
