| Biography/History | The Kent State Bank in Kent, Minnesota was held up on the afternoon of February 18, 1958. Two masked men, both with pistols, entered the bank and tied up three bank employees and two customers. They made off with nearly $3, 000 in cash and silver from the bank drawers as well as from three of the victims. The three employees involved were Alice Ficenec, John Wicklein, and Oscar Olson; the two customers were, Percy Strand and Ira Bellmore. The two robbers fled in an automobile and were picked up for speeding near Cayuga, N.D. They were arrested and brought to the jail in Forman, N.D. The robbers were identified as Ronald Olson, 23, of Wahpeton, N.D. and Rudolph Ehrens, 24, of Dwight, N.D. |
