| Transcription | "Ducks Unlimited: A U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service game agent examined a truckload of 1, 800 duck carcasses as they were unloaded at the state hospital in Jamestown last week. The ducks, all frozen, were some of 3, 000 ducks confiscated this fall from American hunters returning from Canada with more than their legal limit of 10 ducks. This load of ducks will be served to hospital patients. The 1, 200 remaining ducks will be used as evidence by federal authorities in prosecuting some 70 still-pending cases of game limit violations. Birds were confiscated on the U.S.-Canadian border, primarily at Portal and Pembina, N.D." - caption with similar image published in The Fargo Forum, November 25, 1956, C-1. |
