| Transcription | "Iceles festooned a fireplace on the west wall in the Earle hotel lobby but a nativity Christmas scene on the lower shelf was untouched. The little figures around the manger were intact in their original positions amid the wreckage. Easy chairs and floors are cased in ice which formed from the tons of water poured on the hotel blaze Thursday." - caption with image published in the Fargo Forum & Daily Republican, Dec. 16, 1951, p. 42. |
