Transcription"Waiting at the station for the train to take them home, the Mess family sat down for a much-needed rest after its fast trip through Fargo shopping district. David (left) still full of vim and vigor, had to check what was on the other side of the bench while Mathew and John played with toys they got free in a store. Mrs. Mess kept the gifts she bought hidden until just before everyone boarded the train and headed home." - caption with image published in The Fargo Forum, December 5, 1954, p. 16.
