| Description | Interview done by Allen Spiker at the Hazen Pioneer Home in Hazen, N.D. with emphasis on a small group of women speaking the Kaschubian dialect of German. It includes their pronouncing words and phrases in Kaschubian as requested by Spiker, as well as talking about their childhood on farm, jokes and stories. At the beginning two women are asked to give their names, but very difficult to understand. Later in the interview there are both men and women speaking including an Edwin Klipfel. There is also more background noise in this portion. For both portions there is much laughing and multiple speakers at the same time. |
