| Biography/History | Rochus Streifel was born August 28, 1899 in Pierce County, N.D., son of Thomas and Genevieve (Heisler) Streifel. He married Elizabeth Wolf in 1921 at Selz, N.D. She was born in 1903 in Pierce County. After farming there until 1936 they moved to a farm at Esmond, N.D. In 1951 when they moved into town they operated a grocery store until 1963. They raised eight children. Rochus died in 1983 and Elizabeth in 2001. |
