brainchild
of
Dan
Hart
who
stated
that the
program
was a
great
outlet
for
people
with an
idea
for a
show
they
wanted
Prairie
Public
Television
to
produce
but that
didn't
fit
within
the
resources
for
local
productions.
"Free
Space"
was
directed
by
Richard
Clerk
and was a
public
forum
where
the
content
was
almost
completely
up
to the
participants.
It
was
taped
live
in the
Ceres
Studio
on the
NDSU
campus
and
broadcast
unedited
ad
long
as
it
met
FCC
standards
for
language
and
subject
matter.
The
program
was a
presented
as a
public
service
,
long
before
the
days
of
cable
access.
