| Biography/History | Simon Johnson was born in Totten, Norway on September 10, 1850. He came to America in 1871. He married Sophia Brurack in Fillmore County, Minn. Together they had three children. Simon Ouren homesteaded in Sections 5 and 8 of Sverdrup Township, Griggs County in 1881. Sophia died in 1891, and Simon married a widow with three children named Bertha Johnson. Simon died on his homestead on September 30, 1937. |
