"Dear sis Effa: Got your dear letter tonight, Wed. Didn't expect to hear so soon sis. "Mange tak". Hope you'll excuse this card but it's all I had just now. It's no use to plan it seems. When I plan to write you folks a good long letter, someting turns up and breaks my plan every time. Will send a card anyway. Will be so glad to get that dress for Fri. Hope I can use it all right. It's nice to have good sisters. You said you had so much to tell me. I surely have news too. Hope to see you all on Sat. if the weather is fairly nice. Say sis, I also wrote to Fillmore this evening, like you said. 'Spose I better stay here tho if I can, but I might keep the same grades next year. You don't care do you. Will tell you about it Sat.
