Biography/History"Langhorne (Burleigh). This was a coal miners' settlement in SE1/4 Sec. 1-142-80, Ecklund Twp., two miles east of Wilton, at the Washburn Lignite Coal Co. Mine No. 2 It was founded about 1912 and named for the maiden name of one of Gen. W. D. Washburn's daughters-in-law." - North Dakota Place Names, by Douglas A. Wick, p. 109.
