"Dear I. J. Here we are all O.K. got here at 6 p.m. and stopped for night. Dont know just how far it was as did not stop to figure up: eat dinner on road north of Redfield: lost a little time as could not take cut off road thru lake bed south of Clark. I had to go back a ways: roads dry most of way but very rough: averaged about 15 miles per hour: about 150 miles to go tomorrow: hope it is as nice as today: will write again when we get there: Lovingly Carrie" - handwritten on back of postcard, postmarked from edgeley & Aberdeen, R.P.O.
