| Biography/History | The Emporium store was destroyed by fire at 11:30 p.m., November 28, 1936. Killed in the fire was a fire fighter named James Wyckoff, age 34. Two other fire fighters were injured, they were Walter Byers and Patrick McGlynn. The store was completely gutted with $135, 000 in losses. |
