| Transcription | "This view of the Northern Pacific bridge, taken from the old south bridge, shows how the N.P. bridge was weighted down with locomotives and loaded with box cars. They did not interfere with railroad traffic, as there was no traffic during the height of the flood, due to washed out tracks both east and west of the two cities. The buildings in the background, other than the Union elevator, erected in 1879 by Barnes & Tenney, are the Moorhead saloons located between Third street and the old north bridge on First Avenue north |
