| Biography/History | Randi Garmann was born at Bergen, Norway in 1881 where she was educated as a nurse. She immigrated to America in 1905 and lived at Portland, N.D. where she was a nurse to Dr. Schanche. After the doctor died in 1910 Randi and his widow and her children homesteaded on adjoining claims near Tioga in Williams County, N.D. She married Haakon Stockman, also an immigrant from Norway, and they lived on her homestead. She died in 1954 and Haakon in 1966. |
