| Transcription | "Bowman Co., Spring Lake near Rhame, N. D. A, x-8" - Handwritten on slide mount. "Spring Lake, about four miles to the southwest of Rhame, was created by building a dam to back up the water from the several flowing springs making Spring Creek. The work was done by WPA labor in the late 1930s. It provides swimming and fishing in season and picnic tables and grills attract picnickers. It also affords a fine skating place in winter" - Rhame, North Dakota Golden Jubilee, 1908-1958, p. 40. |
