| Biography/History | Karoline Loftingsmoe was born at Lesje, Norway in 1842. There she married Johan Olsen Holen. The family came to the Glenwood, Minnesota area circa 1892 where Johan died in 1901. Karoline and a number of her children came to North Dakota and she homesteaded in 1906 in Oliver Township, Williams County. She proved up her claim in 1910 and later moved back to Minnesota where she died in 1923. |
