Louise Karlson Wike's completed questionnaire and additional biographical information in Lindgren's research papers (Mss 292.2.4). Biography/History Louise Karlson was born in Norway in 1875 where she grew up. She came to America in 1905 and in 1909 homesteaded west of Fayette, N.D. She proved up her claim and in 1909 married a neighboring homesteader Andrew Wike, also a Norwegian immigrant. They farmed and raised their family. Andrew died in 1959 and Louise in 1961.
