| Biography/History | Karen Olsdatter Storberget was born in 1855 in Solør, Norway. The family came to America in 1872 and settled at Northfield, Minn. In 1879 she married Ole Olson Kittelson. He was born in 1857 in Telemark, Norway. The family homesteaded in Grainfield Township, Towner County near Bisbee, N.D. in 1883. In 1888 Ole died and in 1895 she lost the homestead, then homesteaded again nearby. She married a cousin John Erickson in 1900, also a Norwegian immigrant, and they lived in Grainfield Township. Karen died in 1938. |
