| Biography/History | Samuel B. Langford was born at Bocastle, England in 1837. He immigrated to Ontario, Canada circa 1858 where he married Mary Brown and they had two children. One of his children was Samuel Jr. came to Griggs County in 1880. In 1881 father and son both homesteaded in Griggs County. Samuel Sr. after the death of his first wife remarried Hannah Lewis and they had nine children. Samuel Sr. died in 1913 and Hanna Langford in 1923. |
