Biography/HistoryKaren Mathison Storberget was born on October 29, 1826 in Solor, Norway. She was married to Lars Olson Storberget Haug Larson. The couple and their children came to the United States in 1872, first settling in Northfield, Minnesota. In 1882 they moved to Dwight, Dakota Territory, where Lars died. His widow and their children Ole, Maren, Bertha, and Karen moved to Grainfield Township, Towner County about 1885-1886, and they homesteaded in sections 22, 26 and 27. Karen Mathison Storberget Larson died on June 29, 1901.
