| Biography/History | Rasmus Bogstad was born in Norway in 1861 and immigrated to the United States in 1880. He attended Luther College in Decorah, Iowa and Northfield Seminary. He was ordained in 1890. Bogstad came to Concordia in 1891 and became the president in 1902 until 1909.
Valborg (Nelson) Bogstad was born on January 23, 1874 in Otter Tail County, Minnesota. She married Rasmus Bogstad on December 27, 1894. In 1912, the Bogstads moved to Washington until 1942 when Dr. Bogstad retired. The couple then returned to Fergus Falls for a couple of years before moving back to Washington where Dr. Bogstad passed away on May 21, 1947. Valborg died in July 1959 in Minnesota. |
