| Biography/History | Lars Christianson was born on November 22, 1855 in Norway and emmigrated to Minnesota in 1873. Christianson bought a drug store in Fargo in 1881 and remained a leading merchant in the drug business until his retirement in 1929. In 1900, Christianson married Nellie Petrine Olsen, and the couple had six children. Christianson was one of the founding fathers of Concordia College, was an active member of the Concordia College Corporation, and served the community in various capacities including organizing First Lutheran church in Fargo and founding St. Luke's hospital. |
