| Biography/History | E.W. Schock opened a hardware store in Ashley in 1922. In 1937, he sold his interest in the hardware business to his brother Gottlieb. In 1937 E.W. and his wife Ida purchased a grocery store and renovated it. In 1938, they added a general merchandise and clothing to the store's inventory. |
