"Dear friend, - How do you like my school house? Reached home in time for supper the day we were up there. It was all ready too, as my aunt was here, which saved me the work. Was none the worse for the long chilly drive. Was over to my next door neighbor's for dinner today and have also been invited out for supper. Hope to hear from you soon. | Biography/History | The first school house in Palermo was a wooden building constructed in 1903. This building was built in 1908. In 1911 several rural schools consolidated into this school. This postcard was sent by Maybelle Holt, a teacher at the school begining in 1908. |
