"Dear Mrs. Kay- I received the birthday card you sent me thanks I have had a vacation for two weeks now but will go to work again Monday morning at Tioga, N.D. so I will have the same address as I have had all summer. I have been visiting with my sister and have enjoyed my vacation very much. I am sorry to know you have been ill this summer. I hope you are well again now. | Biography/History | This is the Gassman Coulee trestle, located approximately three miles west of Minot. In 1898 strong winds caused the collapse of two-thirds of the bridge. The trestle was repaired in 90 days. |
