Biography/HistoryThe first bridge over the Red River at Drayton was a lift bridge. One section of the bridge could be raised to allow steamboats to pass beneath. The steamboat Grand Forks made the last voyage on the Red River, from Grand Forks to Winnipeg, Canada, in 1912.
