Transcription"Masonic Hall The lower corner of this building was formerly a bank. Masons purchased it for $3, 000.00 in 1899. Note grocery store and candy store on the ground floor. Note Masonic emblem on front of building. Upper floor was used by Masonic bodies and E.O.S. until 1916 when the Masonic Temple was built"--Typewritten on label affixed to photograph.

Biography/HistoryThis building was only a temporary Masonic meeting place. The actual Masonic temple was built in 1916 and is on the National Register of Historic Places.
