| Biography/History | Harlem was founded at the terminus of a Milwaukee Road Railroad branch in 1885. The rival Northern Pacific Railroad built a line through Cogswell, about 5 miles south, in 1900, causing many to move there. The railroad was removed from Harlem in 1923. |
