DescriptionWide concrete steps lead from the street level to the front entrance of the Beulah School. The riprap was installed as part of a project developed by the Federal Emergency Relief Agency and completed under the Works Progress Administration. It helped to stabilize the school's sloped site and provided jobs for Beulah residents during the Depression.

Biography/HistoryThe original Beulah School building was constructed in 1919-20 and was designed in the Prairie School style. The facade is a rough-faced red brick with concrete sill caps. Additions were added in 1930, 1949 and 1953. The Beulah School was entered into the National Register of Historic Places 1997-09-30.
