DescriptionThe main stairway in the Minto School building is shown. The original oak balustrade and newel-post are still intact. The wood paneling on the upper walls is not original and was added to cover plaster damaged by water during years of disuse.

Biography/HistoryBuilt in 1895, the Minto School is today the earliest remaining urban public school building in Walsh County. The School was taken over by the Walsh County Historical Society in 1973 and currently serves as a museum. The building was entered into the National Register of Historic Places 1992-01-30.
