Biography/HistoryThe Gerhardt octagonal pig brooding house near Gladstone was built around 1930 and is one of few such structures to be built in the west River area of the state. The structure was entered into the National Register of Historic Places 1986-08-21 as part of a Round Barn Thematic Nomination.
