Date of Original 2003 Description A close view of the front entrance to Central High School. The limestone facade demonstrates the Art Deco style of the building. The words "Central High" are clearly visible above the second story window. Another carving is below these windows but is unreadable in the photograph. The remainder of what can be seen of the building is constructed of a light cream brick with large windows on both floors. Biography/History Built in 1936, Central High School (now Central Middle School) was constructed to occupy 40% of an entire city block between Fourth and Fifth Avenues.
