Relation [Is Part Of] Bridges of North Dakota exhibit Biography/History The Liberty Memorial Bridge opened in 1922. Each bridge pier has a sloping, reinforced edge facing the flowing current to deflect ice, logs, or other debris that could damage the bridge. The bridge was demolished and replaced in 2008.
