| Biography/History | The Patterson Hotel, originally named the McKenzie Hotel, was built in 1910 by Edward G. Patterson. It opened on January 1, 1911 in time for the legislative sessions that year. It was renamed the Patterson Hotel in 1928. Originally it was eight stories high and topped with a roof garden, but two complete and two partial floors were later added, bringing the total height to 12 stories. |
