Transcription"Wildflower=Plantation. Pawnee County Oklahoma. This photo is one of Bismarck's most esteemed and charitable ladies, the wife of Mr. M. Eppinger a friend of my boyhood at Brownsville Nebraska in the fifties as a clerk for Mr. David Seigel a loyal friend of my fathers. They came to Bismarck in an early day and Mr. M. Eppinger opened the first clothes store on the Upper Missouri. He was an honest man + strict member of his faith. James A. Emmons"--Handwritten on back of photograph.
